About THE BELT.
What this is
THE BELT is a marketplace for internet real estate. People put their X profile in the ring, and startups, products, and brands compete through bidding to occupy it. Each profile has one continuous auction with three winning positions.
The three placements
🥇 The highest bidder holds the banner. 🥈 Second holds the pinned post. 🥉 Third holds the bio. Everyone below is fighting to break into the top three. Your rank decides what you own, and raising your bid reorders the belts live.
Protected exposure
When you win a placement you get a protected window (24 hours by default) so your paid exposure is never wiped out seconds later. Higher bids queue up as the next leader and take over when protection ends, unless you defend.
Money and payouts
Advertisers pay THE BELT through Stripe; every payment is a one-time charge, never a subscription, and you can bid any amount at any time. Creators earn a share of what advertisers pay for their placements, paid out through Stripe once payout onboarding is complete. There are no prize pots and no wagering. This is advertising, not gambling and not an investment.
